( and she still lives, though he'd been more concerned with his flock than trying to exorcise her. not that it would have done much good. though she also likes to believe she has a little leverage over him considering their earliest dealings. would he really want that getting out? )

He may prefer to kill you in hope it would prevent Lucifer's arrival-- ( though he had quietened from the idea when she'd said that it wouldn't kill lucifer. at least he'd appeared to listen to her expertise on the angel ) --but he would also not see him walk here.

[Because Nick has no illusions about what he is.

( lilith nods, drinking a little (a large gulp) more of her drink )

It may be holding him at bay. As long as you continue with it.

( she doubts he would relax too much or stop his efforts but it was always worth a reminder )

Neither do I. But I didn't mean him.

( she lets one hand reach along the table, fingers stretching out )

( though she only knows that sabrina has talked about him, that they had a little flirtation. not the rest of it )

She'll have to decide, if she wants to be involved.

[He won't make her. He won't suggest it.]

( let her give you a slight look. she's not asking after your sex life, sir )

You were friends before any of that, weren't you?

( she's here to talk magic not any of your young drama )

[He says it with a hint - but only a hint - of hesitation.]

Then through all of these trials she'll at least have that. A friend.

( and if they do anything else that's all on them. sabrina's talked to her enough about her mortal dramas previously )
